Re: Best expression pedal for whammy?

...and if you swap the In and Out connection on the VP Jr. what happens? If the same behavior is noted, can you test with a different Insert Cable?
If i swap In and Out, I get the same behavior. I will try with a different cable this weekend.

Re: Best expression pedal for whammy?

Can you try out a test with the VP Jr.? 1.Connect the TRS (stereo) end of your Insert Cable to the Pedal 1 port on the Ground Control Pro. 2. connect the Ring end of the Insert Cable to the VP Jr. In jack. 3. Connect the Tip end of the Insert Cable to the VP Jr. Out jack. 4. Flip the taper switch u...

Re: Best expression pedal for whammy?

Are you connecting these pedals to the Ground Control Pro with an insert cable? This will have a TRS end that runs out to two mono ends. Do you se this same behavior with only one pedal connected at a time? Yes, I am using an insert cable. I see this behavior with only one pedal connected at a time...

Are you connecting these pedals to the Ground Control Pro with an insert cable? This will have a TRS end that runs out to two mono ends. Do you se this same behavior with only one pedal connected at a time? I am only using one pedal connected at a time. Both pedals show the 'bad' sweep behavior: 0-...

Re: Several questions and a possible setup

Probably a simple answer but I can't search for gcx on here, it gets ignored. Yea, the search capbilities are sad. I ran into the same problem. I use google site search to search this forum. It works well. Here is an example that I would use to search for posts about an expression pedal: site:voodo...

Re: Midi Expression Pedals

p.s. Never mind the pot value... Ground Control Pro does not care. If you must pick, pick a value that suits any other need you may have for a volume or expression pedal. Can you explain this further since it is counter-intuitive? I good explanation would most likely clear up most of the confusion ...

Re: Best expression pedal period?

Do the mods or tech support guys at Voodoo care to address this question? It would helpful to the all of your users to provide a technical explanation regarding the details of the pedal input circuit. Especially what resistance it wants to 'see' in order for a full scale sweep (0-127) to be matched ...

Re: Best expression pedal for whammy?

Do tell more... what MIDI devices and parameters are you controlling? How have you connected the pedals to the Ground Control Pro? When you look at the "Pedal" screen within a Ground Control Pro preset do you see the numbers sweep from 0-127 smothly across the full range of the pedal? I am controll...

Best expression pedal period?

I have used several volume pedals mainly to control effect volume of a rack mount TC M-One XL via CC. I have not found a pedal that controls the volume evenly over the full sweep. All of the change occurs in a very narrow range. This is perhaps redundant with the post below this. What is the recomme...

Re: Best expression pedal for whammy?

I have used the EB VPjr pedals with my GCPRO and they have the same problem that you describe. All of the action occurs in an impossibly narrow range of the sweep. I have changed the taper, but it only makes a slight difference. This is not the solution if you want a fully useable range.
