Re: GCX rack unit creating loud, high pitch noise.

Sorry for the troubles!

How are you powering the GCX? Also, When running just the Feedthru (Guitar to Front Panel Feedthru, Rear Panel Feedthru to Amp) do you get the same problem when the GCX is powered down?

Re: Effect in multiple paths

That is a great looking rack shell!! I'm still old school I suppose and I hand draw all my diagrams. I have never found a program that lets me do it "my way" as easily ;) My opinion on the wet/dry routing was to leave it how you have in the diagram with the Vibe, Phase, Flange, and whatever the Mobi...

Re: Effect in multiple paths

It's getting there, but for certain you will want to test some of the more wild stuff before committing to custom length cables. (also, on your diagram, arrows help to know signal direction... if you need to look at this again in a year from now will you know which dots are ins or outs? ;) ) I would...

Re: Ground loop - Korg DTR1

You may be able to get away with isolating the tuner fro the Rack Rails. You can use HumFrees rack isolation tabs, or plastic shoulder washers (you need to insulate between the rack ears and the rack rails, as well as insulate the rack screw from the mounting hole in the rack ears). ...or the isolat...

Re: Simple midi controller for PX8+ (or link two?)

I need my PX-8 (not the plus model) to be able to receive and pass thru CC20 & 21. I'd probably be using a Disaster Area DMC-3 XL or DMC-4 XL, gen3. I don't see anything in my manual about CC messages lower than 80. I don't know much about MIDI but am slowly learning. Hope the comment makes sense. ...

Re: EHX Big Muff Pi, instruction manual vs reality discrepancy?

I think you just have an older model than what is described in the Big Muff manual you are looking at.

Anyway, the Mini Plug is in fact Tip Positive and will mate perfectly with your older model Big Muff Pi. Plug er in and let er rip!

Re: Sparkle Drive hum

It sounds as if maybe the nut that holds the switch in place is not tight... (inside the pedal there is a ground ring that is held tight against the chassis by the switch mounting hardware) ...tighten the flat nut on the outside of the chassis at the switch and it should take care of the issue. Let ...

Re: PLEASE HELP SETUP 2 GCX's

If you feed the Tuner from the rear panel Feedthru, you will only need one cable.

Rear Panel Feedtru on GCX -> Tuner Input. Nothing connects to the Tuner Output.

Re: Effect in multiple paths

It does burn up a lot of loops... I was mainly detailing how to do it as sort of a deterrent ;) What is this effect that is moving around? Are you sure it can even just be patched around like this without also needing to adjust knobs? At some point, simply having multiple of the same pedal becomes f...
