Re: New RIG - Lots of Questions

Well it looks like unless you want to have multiple pedals in the same loop you will need to get another GCX to start. There is nothing wrong with having multiple pedals in the same loop. I do it for sure... But it just depends on what you need and when. What is your pedal board going to consist of?...

Re: Multiple preamp setup

So here are the wiring diagrams that I promised. Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I'd especially be curious to hear if you have anything to say too John Clark? http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4042/4391728139_07081a5b35_o.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4063/4392497096_3...

Re: Multiple preamp setup

Sort of... My guitar signal is split via a Boss DD6 with 40ms of delay. So the guitar feeds into the "A" input on the DD6, and then the "A" output is split and feeds the right side of my rig which is a Marshall JMP1 into the "A" side of a Rivera TBR3 power amp, and a Mesa Triaxis into the "A" side o...

Re: Multiple preamp setup

It is all four pre-amps are on most of the time. Each running to their own 4x12 cab, out of the 2 stereo power amps.

Re: Multiple preamp setup

Looks cool Dawesy,
I am running 4 preamps, into 2 stereo power amps with 3 GCX's...but no mixer. I'm almost done wiring it all up and when I am, I'll post some wiring diagrams as well as photos.

Re: Rack shelves

I like/use the penn-elcom sliding rack shelf, best thing about it is it's only 40 bucks. Mine holds 5 pedals, 2 switchers, and a pp2+ with all heavy duty cables and it's held up like a champ...still like new. You can get it from parts express for a little bit more expensive, or get it here at their...

Re: Cabling Questions???

Cool. Thanks for the heads up. I am pretty much done with the MIDI cables now... about to start the signal cables. I am really stoked on getting my rig finally finished. Thank you for all your help and patience through this.

Cabling Questions???

I am wiring up my new rig, and I know enough to keep my signal cables away from my power cables to prevent interference. But how about my MIDI cables? Do they need to be kept away from my signal cables too? and how far should they be from my power cables? I know the MIDI cable I am using is shielded...

Re: N.O. contacts for latching switch in a GCX?

Ok so now I am stoked! But one last thing about that voltage... just to make sure I am following with you...does it matter if the voltage is A/C or D/C. I was thinking of using a relay that has coil rating of 3-32DCV. So from your last post, this should be fine? Thanks for your patience with my igno...

N.O. contacts for latching switch in a GCX?

I was just wondering if the N.O. contacts in the GCX's relays are totally passive, or if there is any voltage that is applied at all when using the N.O. (out) jack for a latching switch? And maybe this is totally unrealistic/impossible to do, but is it possible to apply any sort of low voltage to th...
