Re: Strymon Lex rotary pedal and GCX/System Mix Plus questio
Hi John Resurrecting this topic from a few months back... I thought about that, and let' say I'd have 4 of the GCX loops modified to stereo. That would take care of the Lex switching within the GCX. But then there's another issue I can' get over: if I get out of the last loop from the GCX (let's say...

Re: Using two amps - stereo or layer - your opinion?
Hi I didn't explain myself clearly, as I'm doing exactly wht you say: I have the send to the preamp from the buffered out on the GCX split to Y to the amp inputs and I use a single GCX's loop to select the return. I put the Triaxis on a separate loop since I didn't want to triple split the signal at...

Re: Using two amps - stereo or layer - your opinion?
Hi I'm doing a similar thing with my setup. I have a Mesa Triaxis, a Mesa DC3 combo (now converted to short head for rackmount purposes) and I'm looking around to find a suitable second amp to complete the stereo setup. My concept is that any amp with an FX loop is actually a preamp and a power amp....

Strymon Lex rotary pedal and GCX/System Mix Plus question
Hi I'm trying to incorporate a Strymon Lex rotary emulator pedal into my system which has 2 amp heads, a couple more stomps (in GCX loops) and a pair of FX processors hooked up to a System Mix Plus (Mix 2 and 3). I'd like the Strymon to be in the GCX loops (being a pedal) so that I could put reverb ...

Re: Tap Tempo Pedal Build for the GCP
Nice!
Does it work with the standard GC too or it's only compatible with GC Pro?

Re: Looper in the loops
Yeah, I know, maybe it doesn't look clear from the drawing, but I'd patch the VCA volume right before the first Mix 1 in, coming out from the preamp, so that I could do volume swells and lt the fx trail off naturally with volume closed. Also, do you think a Ground Link could be useful to control the...

Re: Looper in the loops
Looks like I've scored a DMC System Mix Plus... In the scheme below it's how I'd ideally wire the setup. I'm unsure though about how to connect the looper's output to the mixer: in my idea I'd want to have the FX processors connected in parallel with the dry preamp signal, and I'd want to go serial ...

Re: control 2 loops simultaneously with one instant access
Hi John, is this mod to the GCX (the one that allows it to switch two loops with a single ctrl change) compatible with the older Ground Control (with updated sw) or is it only doable with the GC pro?
Thanx

Re: Looper in the loops
Hello John, thanx for the reply. My main controller is a Ground Control (old model with v.1.1 sw). I was thinking about the Ground Link in order to be able to have direct access to the GCX loops, but I could also go with the software update in the GC and use its switches for direct access, if I'm no...

Looper in the loops
Hello I'm planning to fit a looper pedal in my system (probably a Backline Engineering Riff Box which is MIDI controllable or Boomerang III). I'd ideally like to place it in 2 loops of the GCX after the FX and line mixer running in stereo before the power amp so that it could be switched out of the ...
