Re: HEX problem with MIDI controller

Sorry you’re having trouble here. As a test, try sending only the Program Change message. That you see the loops flash on the off immediately suggests that perhaps you are sending conflicting data... a PC that turns some loops on, but a string of CCs that turn them all off. Also, feel free to give u...

Re: HD500, switcher, Blackstar amp assistance

Oh! Yes, we can do that! With the Control Switcher you would only need an Insert Point Cable. This looks like a Y-Cable but has a TRS (stereo) end that breaks out to two TS (mono) ends. The TRS end will go to the amp footswitch jack and the two TS ends will go to two switch jacks on the Control Swit...

Re: Alternate Mounting Options PP2+ & Dingbat Medium

Something like this might solve the Wall Wart issue... (an Extension Cord with a reasonably flat Right Angle wall plug) As for alternate mounting positions, no there isn't something built in other than position 1 and 2... left or right but still mounted along the tall edge of the board. Anything els...

Re: HELP - GCX overheated and cut out?

I assumed you use the rear panel Guitar Out jack for something else, but I should have asked... 1. If you do use the Rear Panel Guitar Out for anything, does it to drop signal when this happens? 2. If you do not use the Rear Panel Guitar Out, you should... this bypasses the path thru the front panel...

Re: Popping noise when turning loop on and off - even with nothing in the loop

You certainly do have an older GCX, but that shouldn't mean that it just pops. On this one the main difference is that you have two buffered inputs on the front rather than just one. There hasn't been a lot of change inside a GCX over the years. The Loops themselves are 100% True Bypass so there is ...

Re: Skrydstrup SC1 & GCX

To get the replacement chip you would want to give us a call or write to info@voodoolab.com. The chip is in a socket so there is no soldering involved.

A GCX #2 chip will force the unit to respond to Control Change messages 88-95 on MIDI Channel 16.

I hope that helps!

Re: Grp switching midi processors?

The Ground Control Pro Preset Location numbers are simply telling you what Bank and Button you are on... the first character is the Bank and the second character is the Button. You can edit the preset name to include the preset number of the Eleven Rack if you need to have it displayed, but this is ...

Re: HD500, switcher, Blackstar amp assistance

Unfortunately on these amps, Blackstar cooked up a somewhat proprietary method for the footswitch to communicate with the amp. Our Control Switcher alone wouldn't control these amps without a secondary box. I haven't yet had one of these amps on my bench to check out how it all works... If you want ...

Re: Setting GCX and GCP stereo with 2 amps and effect pedals

You can use two GCX Loops together to switch any stereo device, however in this case this pedal has its own true bypass setup (you do have to program it to use the bypass type you like) that is directly MIDI Controlled. There is no need to use up two GCX Loops when you can bypass the pedal using jus...

Re: Will a Truetone CS12 power brick fit under Dingbat medium pedalboard?

It would be a tight fit, but it should make it without the power supply touching the floor as long as you are using a low profile mount method. I also cannot say for certain how well the switches will fit in the holes in the board. I don't know how well tape of any sort will work, but it's worth a s...
