Re: GCX Channel switching

What kind of amp? If it just needs one contact to ground, yes you can. But only if the amp wants a momentary switch, no? Can't say as I've ever seen an amplifier foot switch that uses momentaries, but then again my Profiler does, so maybe it is possible. I've been wrong before. They latch. I've use...

Re: GCP, GCX and Px-8

You might check with support and see if you could wire it GCP 》PX8 》GCX but set up the PX8 as a generic MIDI device and send it messages on Ch 1. Just a thought.

Re: Ground Control Pro and GCX Setup

You connected them, went to Utilities, INIT SYS MEM Y?

You'll then have to go to Expanders and turn GCX 1 on before it can communicate with the GCX

Re: 10 preset mode midi change to effects proc bypass preamp

What are you using besides the POD? (And for that matter, which POD?) It sounds like a Ground Control pro, but I don't want to assume anything. Are you using a switcher, such as a GCX, or Hex? Also, be careful with the nomenclature: A "Channel" generally refers to a MIDI channel. It sounds like you'...

Re: Dual GCX's... Wiring help please

If you're using the second GCX strictly for switching, the only connection you'll need is the MIDI from the Output of the first to the input of the second. As pointed out above, be certaint to enable GCX 2 in the expender section of set up. They made it very straight forward.

Re: 2 amps, phase on one channel

If you're still working on this, I happened to stumble on something that might provide a possible solution: RJM's Y-Not A/B/Y box has a selectable phase inversion on the B output. You could program it to kick in only when you're selecting the gain channels that are giving you the phase issue. Just a...

Re: Pedal order for GCX?

Double check the cables in the loop. It might not be the pedal.

Re: Setting MIDI channel on GCX, control switcher?

As it turns out, the Mastermind GT is pre-configured for up to 4 GCX's. I haven't looked to see what it sends for messages to make that happen, but try do make it easy.

Re: gcx+gcp channel switching on 6505 and strymon timeline m

I'm not familiar with that model. If the footswitch has a trs plug, it's common that it shorts tip to sleeve for one function and ring to sleeve for the other. On a two channel amp, often one is channel select and the other is reverb. So yes, you'll need the insert cable (which splits sleeve and tip...
