Re: gcx+gcp channel switching on 6505 and strymon timeline m

Set up the Timeline in the GCP Device/name, name it and set it to the same MIDI channel. When you set up the preset, have it send the preset number as the PC number and it will change to that preset on the Timeline.

Re: Connecting volulme pedal and wah to ground crontrol pro

The G-force has a Wah in the filter block. You'll need to configure a second expression pedal to control it (beyond using it in "Touch wah" or "Auto Wah" modes). Otherwise,as stated above, you'll need to put the way in the signal path.

Re: Setting MIDI channel on GCX, control switcher?

That is good to know. (Actually, this is the first I had heard of the stereo board. Had I known about it, this project might have proceeded slightly differently, but now I'm already committed this far. On the plus side, I'm waiting for the slave amp for the second channel, so I have some time to bui...

Re: Setting MIDI channel on GCX, control switcher?

I should be able to send a sys ex msg with the new controller, so that will probably be the way to go. The stereo board would almost get me there, but I have three stereo effects in the loop and 7 in front of the preamp,so I'd still come up short. Sounds like there's a couple of work arounds, so onc...

Re: Setting MIDI channel on GCX, control switcher?

I`m not sure how thats going to work. I don't see a way to change the cc or data values that the GCX responds to. Same channel and same values, they're both going to respond. The best I can come up with is using channels 1-4 on both units for the stereo effects and 5-8 of one for the mono ones but I...

Re: Setting MIDI channel on GCX, control switcher?

Looks like I need to do more reading. I was about to ditch them both for a switchblade. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Setting MIDI channel on GCX, control switcher?

I just found that. Ouch. I guess that pretty much precludes using more than one GCX with anything other than a GCP. I'll have to re-think this project, I guess.

Re: Setting MIDI channel on GCX, control switcher?

Okay. I found how to change the channel on the control switcher. Can the channel be changed on a GCX? (I have 2. Don't want them both on 16)

Setting MIDI channel on GCX, control switcher?

Is there any way to do this, or do I need to use different devices?

Re: Noise from Digital Power and Strymon Pedals

You might start by swapping out the patch cable (I'm assuming it's the input, but try both).
