Re: GCP Expression pedal response.

It's actually a Morely. Their optical pedals can be adjusted but this obe is passive.

I was surprised that the volcano didn't have something, given all the choices. Thanks for your input. Looks like I'll be swapping out a pot.

GCP Expression pedal response.

So I have my Volcano volume control up and running with an expression pedal into the Ground control Pro. It works great...except: the response of the pedal is logarithmic, very abrupt on the upper end of travel. (There are no parameters to change this on the Volcano (not CC or dip switches). Is ther...

Re: Patch Cables

I buy mogami 2524 in bulk and use switchcraft of Neutrik connectors. Buying cables is way too expensive, they're never the right length and may not have the connectors you want.

Soldering isn't rocket surgery, it just takes a decent iron and some practice.

No. (I had made that mistake initially.)

Re: Tap Tempo Pedal Build for the GCP

Thanks. I'll hunt around the shop for a latching switch. I just happened to have a momentary action one on my bench.

Re: Still a Newbie

As far as the phase situation, if one amp is out of phase on all channels, just switch the speaker leads. It's when the phase changes with the channel (usually because there is a phase inverter circuit) that correcting it becomes more involved. A starting point would be to run the signal to the peda...

Powering Leslie pedal w/ISO 5

I been running a Hamond Organ Leslie Pedal http://hammondorganco.com/products/leslie/pedal/ on my board with the high current output of an ISO 5 for about a year. I ran into an issue with it locking up on a gig one night, then it behaved fine. (Shortly after, I re-arranged the board and ran it off a...

Re: Tap Tempo Pedal Build for the GCP

Curious if this still requires a latching switch or if a Firmware revision for the GCP covers it.

Thanks

Re: Still a Newbie

I certainly don't have all the answers (as I'm just getting my feet feet in all this stuff), but certainly have a couple of questions that you'll need to consider in designing your rig. What are the phase relationships between the amps? Give it a test and be sure before you commit time and resourses...

Re: sound sculpture Volcano

For some reason, the setup didn't want to talk on channel 1. I switched the dipswitch settings on the Volcano to channel 16, channedl the GCP to Channel 16 and everything works fine. The response curve of the pedal seems a little steep, but I believe I can change that in the Volcano. Thanks John!
