Pedal Power AC and Boss GX-700

Post by Marlboro05 » Fri Jul 19, 2019 5:07 am

Hi there,
I see the Pedal Power AC is discontinued? Is this true?

Was wondering if anyone had powered the Boss GX-700 with a Pedal Power AC?

Cheers

Yes, discontinued.

The Boss GX-700 manual specifies 14VAC and 800mA is required. Would the 12VAC 1200mA capacity output suffice?... Maybe.

As 12VAC is a lower voltage (and only modestly so), my guess is you could try it with very little risk of any damage.

If you try it, let us know how it goes, thanks!

Hi there Ben,
Thanks for the reply, I was going to maybe give it a go, just have to use the original type plug.

The Pedal Power AC is a very good power supply, would have thought it wouldn’t be discontinued as many people would use it. Glad I have one and may have to find another now

Cheers
