Hello,

I just purchased a Diezel VH4-2 pedal and would like to power it with my Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 plus. I am currently using the courtesy power out AC plug and would like to use the high power outlets, instead to free that up.

From what I've read online, the VH4-2 pedal requires 12 volts and 200 mA draw.

So we know that with the dips witch turned on, here's what we have in outputs 5 and on the PP2+:

Output 5: 12VDC 200mA to 14VDC 50mA
Output 6: 12VDC 200mA to 14VDC 50mA

My Questions:

1. Why are there two power and draw options when the dip switch is turned on? Does the pedal take what it needs? So, if the pedal requires 12 volts it will be allowed to take a 200mA current draw?

2. Do I need to use the special red-tipped cables, that were included with the Pedal Power 2 Plus or is that for Line6, only?

3. The VH4-2 came with a Y barrel plug. Wouldn't I only need a standard point to point one?

Thank you for all of your help!

This pedal actually accepts 12-18V. The included Y adapter cable is to feed the pedal 18V from two isolated 9V Outputs.

You can certainly power the VH4-2 from a Pedal Power 2+ on output 5 or 6 with the DIP Switch set away from Normal, no problem! The specs on these outputs are saying that with a 50mA draw the Voltage will be about 14V, and with a 200mA draw the Voltage will be about 12V. I suspect this pedal actually has a much lower current draw than what the 200mA the included power supply is capable of so that should be a little bonus!

I hope that helps!

Thank you very much for answering my questions! This is helps and I now have a solution to power the VH4-2!
