my first switcher/looper PX-8 plus

Post by jéjé le cuisinier » Wed Jun 14, 2017 4:05 pm

Hello I have a PX-8 more
I use a combo Laney VC15-110 without Footswitch and I do not use MIDI
I would like to change the channel of my amp only with the PX-8
If I connect a jack of my amp (footswitch channel) to a loop of the PX-8 without using the return it will work it
Sorry for my question i read a lot of topic but with google translation i am not completely sure about having all understood
thank you

No, that won't work unfortunately. The loops on the PX-8 plus switchers route audio, which is not what you need for amp channel switching. You would need something that has a dedicated switcher built in.

Since you already have a switcher your options are to get a footswitch and use it alongside your PX-8, or you could decide to just use the clean channel of your amp and put some drive pedals in the loops for your gain sounds.

Hopefully this translates well for you.

Yea, the PX-8 Plus itself will not control your amp. But the PX-8 Plus will work with our Control Switcher to include your amp settings into the PX-8 Plus presets.

Here is a link to information on the Control Switcher.

The MIDI Out of the PX-8 Plus would connect to the MIDI In on the Control Switcher. An Insert Point Cable would connect between the 1/4" jacks on the Control Switcher and the Footswitch Jack on your amp. This would allow you to control the Drive and Reverb on your amp from the PX-8 Plus.

I hope that helps!

But I have another question I own a pedal suhr eclipse an overdrive channel and a distortion channel and I wonder how to switch from drive to disto passing only by the px8 +
