Feed Thru on DMC GCX

Post by Daroka » Thu Aug 24, 2017 2:52 am

Hi,
the old DMC version of the GCX has two "Feed Thru In's" in the front and
two "Feed Thru Out's" in the rear. While the new Voodoo Lab GCX has a "Guitar In"
and a single "Feed Thru" in the front and a corresponding "Feed Through" in the rear.

The feed thru for the Voodoo Lab version works in both directions. Is this also the case
with the DMC version? I'm unsure as they are specifically labeled In and Out, but the
not on the Voodoo Labs version.

If it only works front to back on the DMC version, can it be modified to work in both directions?

Thanks!

The older "Feedthrus 1 & 2" GCX has independent buffer on each feedthru. So yes, it will only pass signal from the front to the rear.

If you needed a non buffered passthru then I suppose you could simply de-solder the existing jacks from the circuit board and run a shielded cable between them.

I hope that helps!

Thanks! That helps a lot :-) I think I'll try your suggestion.
