Guys I’m really sorry. I’m beyond frustrated and I’ve read pages and pages of threads here and I just can’t make heads or tails of things. I really need someone to simplify this for me please. I’ve never been so angry in my life! So I hope I. Can make this issue clear.
Gcx loop 1 OD pedal
Gcx loop 2 OD Pedal 2
gcx loop 3 chorus pedal
Gcx loop 4 boost pedal
G-major 2 rack mount midi channel 1
I have the GCP set up for 4 presets.
1. Clean (no loops on)
2. Dirty (loop 1 on)
3. Solo/delay/reverb/boost (loop 2/4 on and feed to g-major for delay/reverb)
4. Same as above but different delay
The tap button works on 3 and 4 to control delay tempo.
I have tried a few variants:
1. running the gmajor completely in my Mesa boogie loop
2. Running the major in a gcx loop and back in to my boogie
My problem is: I want to set the top left as an I/A button for pitch. In the IA menu I have set that button to midi channel 1 and pitch is my 3rd preset. If I run the gmajor completely in my boogie loop, pressing the GCP button doesn’t work and the gmajor stays on all the time (so my pitch is always on). If I run the gmajor in to the GCX and back in to my loop, I thought I would have to turn on that loop (loop 5) and then press the new pitch button. Turning the loop on defeats the point. Now I’m tap dancing again. The IA button doesn’t work to turn on the pitch, so I go to the gmajor to dial up preset 3 for the pitch and now the pitch turns on but then it says on all the time regardless of pressing the buttons. I don’t understand because you can see the “midi in” flash on the gmajor when the button is pressed and the tap tempo button works fine. I’m doing something wrong here.
TL;DR
HOW DO I MAKE AN IA STOMP BUTTON TO WORK TO TURN OFF AND ON AN EFFECT! Press the button, effect on. Press it again. Effect off.
Edit: sorry if this makes no sense. I’m on the verge of smashing everything and my head hurts. I’m happy to send a vid or something to someone for help.
