Control Switch questions

Hi everyone. I received my new Control Switcher yesterday and I have a couple of questions.
1. How do I get the phantom power from the MIDI IN of the Switcher to the MIDI OUT of my Morningstar MC6? The MC6 uses a 7 pin MIDI connector and is expecting the power on pins 6 and 7. I'm hoping I can just buy a cable for this but Google has left me discouraged.
2. I use the MIDI OUT on the Switcher to connect to the MIDI IN on a Plethora X5. When I do this, sometimes a specific effect/button doesn't always get turned on/off correctly. I've ruled out my MIDI cables and I also don't have this problem when I connect my MC6 directly to the Plethora X5. It seems to relate to using the MIDI OUT/THROUGH on the Control Switcher. Any suggestions on troubleshooting/fixing? I'm considering just having the MC6 send the command for this effect/button twice and seeing if this resolves my issue, but it would be nice to understand what is going on.

New Control Switcher

Just received the Control Switcher today and I'm pretty excited about it. I'm using a Morningstar MC6 to control the Switcher and a Plethora X5. I've run into two things I'm hoping for help with.
1. Is there a way to easily use the Control Switcher to provide phantom power to the Morningstar MC6? It looks to me like the MC6 is expecting power on pins 6 and 7 of the MIDI cable while the Control Switcher only has 5 pins on its MIDI connectors.
2. I have 3 different MIDI cables and if I use any of them to connect the Morningstar MC6 directly to the Plethora X5, everything works great all the time. However, if I instead connect MIDI from the MC6 to the Control Switcher, and then on to the Plethora X5, every once in awhile one of the effects does not switch properly. I've tried this with every combination of 2 of the 3 cables, and this happens with every combination. This seems to rule out a bad cable and instead points to some sort of issue relating to the MIDI OUT on the Control Switcher. I'm not saying the Switcher is at fault, I'm only saying that it seems to relate to using the Switcher's MIDI OUT as opposed to connecting the MC6 and Plethora X5 directly. Any ideas as to how to troubleshoot this? For what it is worth, I have the Switcher on MIDI channel 1 and the Plethora on MIDI channel 11.
