Re: Powering HX Stomp with Outputs 5 and 6 of Pedal Power 2

Due to its high current requirement (at least 800m) with Pedal Power 2 Plus, the only option is to power HX Stomp (or HX Effects) from the AC courtesy outlet with its adapter/wall-wart (the DC outputs will not suffice regardless of any special cable).

Note, it is possible HX Stomp (or HX Effects) with one of these higher current capacity supplies: Pedal Power 4 x 4, Pedal Power 3, Pedal Power Mondo or Pedal Power 3 Plus, setup as follows: To power your HX Stomp (or HX Effects) use two 9VDC high current capacity (400mA or 500mA) outputs and a HX Current Doubler Cable

Re: If Voltage is correct, does a small difference in mA matter?

If the SDrum has been working without issue powered from the Pedal Power ISO-5 9V 400mA (not 1400mA) output, it is most certainly fine to continue powering it as such.

Also, indeed the actual current draw of the SDrum is far less than 1500mA (and closer to 400mA).

Cheers!

Re: Need More Power

With 17 pedals, using two supplies is likely your best option. You could use your Pedal Power 2 Plus together with any one of these:

Pedal Power Mondo
Pedal Power 3 Plus
Pedal Power 3
Pedal Power X8
Pedal Power 3
Pedal Power 4 x 4
Pedal Power 2 Plus

Note, if you add a second supply with 8 or fewer outputs, you may need to also use a couple Output Splitter Adapters, part# PPAV.

Hope this helps!

Re: Pedal Power 3 Plus - few questions

Yes, yes and yes... all the cables and adapters can be used similarly with Pedal Power 3 Plus.

As for the charge pump, yes it could be used too. You can expect it will perform optimally well (however good that is). ;)

Re: Voodoo Labs 2 + with Eventide Black Hole

To power the Eventide Black Hole with Pedal Power 2 Plus, use output 5 or 6 with one of the all black (standard polarity) cables supplied.

And, for the TimeFactor using both high current outputs (5 and 6) is not necessary...

To power the TimeFactor with Pedal Power 2 Plus, use a Current Doubler Adapter, part# PPAP in outputs 4 and 5 (or 6 and 7), DIP switch in the 9V (normal) setting and a 2.1mm/2.5mm Reverse Polarity Barrel Cable, part# PPL6, PPL6-R (red end fits the TimeFactor).

Hope this helps!

Re: Pedal Power 3: Can I power a 12v pedal using one of the x-link outputs?

The X-Link outputs are not intended for directly powering effect pedals/audio devices. You could try using them as such but the result may certainly be unacceptably noisy.

If 12VDC and more than 500mA is required, a better solution would be to use a Current Doubler Adapter, part# PPAP in the two (selectable) 12V 500mA outputs.

Hope this helps!

Indeed... reverse polarity and the red end is 2.5mm.

Re: Which Pedal Power brick for this combination?

Right on.

Yes, the DL4 and MM4 each can be powered with 9VAC or 12VDC and each has an actual current draw closer to 200mA (1200mA is merely the capacity of their originally supplied power adapters).
