Voltage doubler and SAG outlets
I have a voltage doubler cable I use with my PP2+ and as I have a drive pedal that operates from 9-18 volts, I am wondering if the voltage doubler will work ok from the two SAG outlets?
This way I can get the 18 volt headroom and if I want to, I can roll back the seperate outlet voltages to taste.
I think it should work in theory but I am unsure if using the voltage doubler from SAG outlets unevenly might cause trouble? I am thinking the overall voltage should be a+b but yeah.. Is it cool to do this and find a voltage sweet spot?
The pedal is a One Control strawberry red overdrive. Thx for your 'feedback'

No problem... seriously! I am just grateful these forums exist and are moderated!JohnClark wrote:Wow... I guess we missed a few here... sorry about that!

PP2+ Eventide TF, Boss RC30, TC Electronics, BB pre, Foxrox
I have had a Pedal Power 2 Plus a long time now. I'm still happy
I just recently noticed an update in the PP2+ manual that now recommends using a Current Doubling Adapter in outputs 5 and 6 with their DIP switches set AWAY from NORMAL with the red reverse polarity cable to safely power the Eventide Timefactor.
This was not in the manual that came with my PP2+ so I hope it is still ok to power my TF this way?
Basically, will my PP2+ work ok powering this board?
Outlet 1 - TC polytune (current draw 50 mA @ 9vDC)
Outlet 2+3 with current doubling adapter - Boss RC30 looper (current draw 195 mA @ 9vDC - usually uses a PSA series AC Adaptor)
Outlet 4 - Xotic BB preamp (current draw 6 mA @ 9vDC)
Outlet 5+6 with current doubling adapter - Eventide TF
Outlet 7 - Foxrox Hot Silicon fuzz (low current draw @ 9vDC)
Courtesy AC outlet - TC SCF stereo chorus flanger using a reverse IEC connector.
Thanks!

Poul... you beat me to it! I think it is fantastic that you guys are willing to share around info like this as you are 'rival companies'...
Yes, the 'Cioks Current Comsumption Table' is a very useful document which I have consulted many times... here is the actual link:

The pedalboard thread...
Like it says... show us your pedalboards!
Thought I would get things rolling with my mini and biggish pedalboard variations... oh yeah, and one of the rigs they are running through... plenty of tubes in that one!

Re: Will the PP2+ ever be updated?
Thanks Josh, that is very interesting to hear. As you see in the photo of my board, I was only using one of those outputs at the time and it seemed to work ok. But I guess this also depends a bit on what other pedals are running from the other outputs on the PP2+... is this correct?
I must confess that I am a bit uneasy about powering up my Timefactor this way just yet until there is some confirmation from yourself or Eventide regarding this.
Anyway, I am sure you will keep us posted about the results once you have had time to evaluate.. so again, thanks for your help.

Will the PP2+ ever be updated?
First of all... I am amazed at the customer support you guys offer... with particular reference to this forum... congratulations!!!
I am one of many who own and love the PP2+ and I also suspect that I am also one of many who own an Eventide pedal (ahem!)... I am of course very happy to have followed the ISO5 and Versa product development with some interest as the Eventide's power needs are accomodated into their design.
I have powered up my TimeFactor with the PP2+ as per the usual instructions found on the net, but even though I have not encountered any problems I feel it is safer to wait for a more dedicated option such as the new products mentioned above.
My issue (and I am sure I am not the only one here...) is that I am accustomed to running 6 pedals together with my TC chorus from the courtesy AC of the PP2+. The Versa does feel a bit like overkill and the ISO5 feels a bit limiting for my needs...
Is there or will there ever be an update of the PP2+ on the drawing board that will power an Eventide pedal? The PP2+ sits in between the ISO5 and Versa anyway so it would be nice with this option.
I understand that you can't please everyone but I do feel that this development would please many!
