I talked to Neil on the phone today, the problem turned out to be a bad MIDI cable. I could hear some wicked guitar playing in the background once he got everything switching. This weekends gig will go on as planned!!

Re: Expression Pedals - this may be a silling qu
Just about any passive volume or expression pedal can be used with the Ground Control Pro. The key is they must be passive. The Ground Control Pro uses TRS jacks for the expression pedal ports so you will need a stereo cable to connect a keyboard type expression pedal or an insert cable to connect a volume pedal.

Re: GCX + Ground Control Pro + Line 6 Spider Valve HD100???
The HD100 appears to only be controlled using the Line6 controller via the RJ45 connector. There is no provision to control it via MIDI or with shorting switches.

Re: GCX and Fender Hot rod Deluxe channel switching....possible?
alfonso wrote:The fender Hot rod deluxe has a system to switch between 3 "channels" (technically are different tube routings so not really channels) with a pedal that has 2 switches connected with a mono cable to select Clean/Drive/More Drive.
Can it be GCX operated?
In order to get the GCX or Control Switcher to control the switchable functions on a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, you must re-create a portion of the foot switch circuit or modify the Fender foot switch itself. The mod is to replace the switches with 1/4" jacks, these would then be connected to the GCX loops or Control Switcher jacks to control the functions remotely.
Cheers!
