Weird behavior change GCP from 10 preset mode to 4 preset mode?!?

I have the following "problem" with my GCP. I'm still completely new to this stuff so don't know if it's normal, but I think it's odd.
I am still in 10 presets / bank mode.
I give my presets names and assign the triaxis to channel 1, and my gmajor to channel 2.
When I press footswitch 1 (top left) my triaxis displays nicely # 01 and when I press footswitch 2, the Triaxis switches to # 02.
So far, so good
Now I want to switch to 4 presets / bank mode. What happens now is that preset 1 (clean) has now moved to footswitch 2 (from the bottom row) instead of footswitch 1. Because under footswitch 1 it now says init.
What is also striking is that Clean, which falls under switch 2 in the 4 preset mode, still outputs # 01. And switch 3, # 02 and keep going.
Surely it is not logical that this changes by the 4 preset mode? Or am I doing something wrong?

What you are seeing is actually normal, counter intuitive as that seems per the top panel layout.

The presets start with preset “0” in 10 Presets per Bank. When switching Bank modes preset 00 in 10 Presets per Bank mode becomes preset 01 in 4 Presets per Bank mode as it is the first preset location.

If you’re going to stay with 4 Presets per Bank mode now you can go into each preset starting with preset 02 and use the ‘Move To’ setting to decrement each preset to its new location.

Okay I can still understand.
I reset everything to factory settings for my test.
But what I see is that when I set it to 4 preset mode, button 2 is assigned to # 01 and button 1 is set to # --.
So this had no program number.
But it cannot be the case that I have to move all presets 1 place?

I have now solved it by setting the start number from 00 instead of 01.
Because of this I actually assign address 00 to button 0, but that button is not physically there because numbering starts from 1 in the 4 preset mode.
Very cumbersome, but is this the way to match the number of the GCP with the devices it controls?

Do I understand that you want to say that I can manually change the preset to the desired location? Because that also causes problems.
As an example the video below. I modified the first 3 presets by hand. Then I want to do that with preset 4. When I open it, it is still set to # 03. Then I change it to # 04. But if I then go up one bank and then open preset 11, it is also set to # 04. I can also set this one up again to # 05, but then I just keep changing all the settings. Can't it be that everyone had to adjust it like that ?!
