Help? Hooking up pedals for the first time.

Hello, I just gotthe PX 8 plus pedal power/board package and am confused on the order of using the insert send/return loops. For example, I have a boost pedal that I want to use in loop 1. Does the Send of loop 1 go into the input jack of my boost pedal and then the output jack of my boost pedal goes into the Return of Loop 1? ( Basically each pedal is connected to its own loop)
I did this for all my pedals and am not getting any sound.

Yes, that is how you connect it. How have you powered the PX8+?
First off, just plug your guitar into the input on the PX8+ and a cable from the output of the PX8+ to your amp. With all the loops off, you should have sound at your amp from the guitar. Then add the boost to loop 1 as you stated. Try that loop on and off, then add more pedals. See how you go.
